Banda Australiana formada pelos irmãos Barry, Robin e Maurice Gibb.  Um dos maiores vendedores de disco de todos os tempos. Banda de grandes sucessos, teve seu auge no meio dos anos 70 até o início dos anos 80, onde fizeram parte do movimento discoteca. A grande marca deles está no filme do John Travolta, Sartuday Night Fever  de 1977, onde a maior parte das músicas foram criadas, cantadas ou não por eles. Eles são compositores de sucessos para outros artistas, como Tavares, Kenny Rogers, Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick e outros. Destacando o irmão mais novo Andy Gibb, com um timbre de voz parecido com o irmão mais velho Barry, fez um sucesso rápido cantando composições do irmão. Infelizmente o vício em drogas pós fim a vida dele. Nessa postagem escolhi as minhas 20 favoritas da primeira fase da carreira deles. Claro que não dá para ficar só nessas. Led Zeppelin foi uma banda formada na Inglaterra em 1968 por Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones e John Bonham. Ela durou até o ano de 1980 com a morte do Baterista John Bonham. Com o fim da banda, em 1981 Page e Plant junto com Jeff Beck e Nile Rodgers formaram o Honeydrippers e lançaram um disco em 1984. Eles também gravaram em carreira solo. Em 1993 Page gravou o disco coverdale.Page, com David Coverdale do Whitesnake muito elogiado pela mídia e público. " Badfinger Greatest 70 Vol. I e II "

Banda Britânica formada em 1968 por Pete Ham, Tom Evans, Mike Gibbins e Joey Molland. Contratada pela gravadora Apple Records dos Beatles em 1968, se chamava Iveys. Em 1969 mudou o nome para Badfinger. Seus integrantes partiparam das gravações de albuns importantes das carreiras solos dos ex-Beatles George Harrison(All Thing Must Pass/1970), Ringo Starr(It Don't Come Easy/1970) e John Lennon(Imagine/1971). O primeiro sucesso da banda foi a gravação da música Come And Get It que Paul McCartney tinha feito e gravado para o album Let It Be dos Beatles, mas que eles deixaram de lado. Das músicas criadas pela Banda se destacam os sucessos Day After Day(1972), No Matter What(1970) e Without You(1970) que é um grande sucesso mundial nas vozes de Harry Nillson em 1971 e com a Mariah Carey em 1994.  Uma "coincidência" triste marca essa banda. Os dois integrantes principais, Pete Ham(O segundo da foto) e Tom Evans(O terceiro) cometeram suicídio.

Allan Clarke é um dos fundadores da banda Hollies de Manchester em 1962. Banda que fez muito sucesso nos anos 60 e 70 e fizeram parte da invasão de bandas britânicas no Estados Unidos a partir de 1964. Os maiores sucessos dos Hollies no Brasil foram Bus Stop(1966), He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother(1969), Don't Let Me Down(1974), The Air That I Breathe(1974), I'm Down(1974) e Stop In The Name of Love(1983). Aqui estou postando um de seus albuns solos gravado em 1978. O sucesso desse disco foi a balada (I Will Be You) Shadow In The Street, mas da para destacar outras músicas como o rock I Wasn't Born Yesterday, e as baladas Hollianas, Hope e I'm Betting My Life On You.

" Aphrodite's Child And Demis Roussos "

 

Aphrodite's Child foi uma banda da Grécia de rock progressivo/pop formada em 1967 pelo vocalista Demis Roussos, o multi-instrumentalista Vangelis Papathanassiou e o baterista Loukas Sideras. Eles gravaram três discos e alguns dos seus compactos/singles fizeram muito sucesso pelo mundo, inclusive no Brasil. Músicas como Rain And Tears, Marie Jolie, It's Five A Clock, Break e Spring, Summer, Winter And Fall fazem muito sucesso em emissoras de flash back. 

Com o fim da banda em 1972 Demis Roussos(Que já tinha gravado alguns singles solos em 1971) e o Vangelis partiram para suas carreiras solos e fizeram mais sucesso que na banda. Cantando We Shall Dance, Goodbye My Love, Goodbye, Forever And Ever, I Need You e outros sucessos, Demis Roussos com o seu visual gordo e usando roupas gregas que pareciam vestidos, fez muito sucesso na sua passagem pelo Brasil em 1973 e vendeu muitos discos pelo mundo. Já o seu ex companheiro de banda Vangelis passou a compor trilhas sonoras para filmes. Entres as mais famosas estão Blade Runner, Chariots Of Fire & Mask. Gravou também com o vocalista da banda Yes, Jon Anderson nos anos 80, e fazendo muito sucesso com os discos The Friends Of Mr. Cairo de 1981 que tem a música I'll Find My Way Home,  e Private Collection em 1983 que tem a música Deborah. O mundo da música é uns dos poucos lugares que as vezes a cópia consegue superar ou igualar ao original.
